CHARLOTTE WERNER-KOHLER, Honorary Law Student Director, will be starting her third year of law school at SUNY Buffalo in the fall of 2017. Prior to entering law school, she was a music educator. Charlotte is primarily interested in pursuing a legal career in Education and Employment law, but as a second year student, she is anxious to learn about a variety of practice areas through networking and summer associate opportunities. She is a member of the Fall 2016 Trial Team and plans to participate in the various Moot Court program available at SUNY Buffalo. During her first year of law school, she also served as a bailiff in two moot court competitions, the Wechsler and Desmond Moot Court competitions.
Her former profesional distinctions and activities include overseas teaching placements in Casablanca, Morocco and Jeju, South Korea, a member of the American Music Abroad (2004, 2007, 2008), a chaperone and performer in the MAIS Choir Festival in 2012, and a small business owner of Lakeside Jewelry Design.
Her hobby interest are jewelry making and performing as a clarinetist in community ensembles.
