8th Judicial District Attorney Grievance Committee
Seeking Attorneys Interested In Serving On Committee

The Attorney Grievance Committee for the 8th Judicial District is seeking attorneys interested in serving on the Committee. The Committee handles attorney disciplinary matters concerning attorneys practicing in Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans and Wyoming Counties and will have vacancies as of March 31, 2024. Members of the Committee generally serve three-year terms and can be reappointed for a maximum of two consecutive full terms.  Grievance Committee members are volunteers who are required to attend several meetings annually in Buffalo, and in preparation for those meetings to review written investigatory reports prepared by staff attorneys.  Most importantly, the work of the Committee must remain confidential, given the constraints imposed by Judiciary Law §90.

Any WBASNY WNY member who is interested in being considered for appointment to the Committee should contact President Kinsey O’Brien before March 27, 2024.

Please consider taking a quick 5 minutes to complete the below survey to give us your thoughts by Monday, November 20, 2023.  It will help myself and the Board as we put together a year full of beneficial programming for you, our members!
