Gabrielle “Gabe” Markle, Local Director and Co-Chair of the Book Club Series, is a Staff Attorney at the Center for Elder Law & Justice (CELJ) in the Elder Abuse Prevention Unit. At CELJ, she works on cases of elder abuse, financial exploitation, scam prevention, and kinship.
Gabe is a native Western New Yorker who received her undergraduate degree in Political Science at Canisius College. From there, she earned her law degree from Catholic University Columbus School of Law in Washington, DC where she received a Pro Bono Service Highest Honors Award which highlighted her commitment non-profit legal work.
Gabe is also a member of the Bar Association of Erie County, where she is involved in the Elder Law and Family Court committees.
In her free time, Gabe enjoys spending time with her husband and two rescue cats as well as traveling, avidly watching documentaries, reading, and baking.
