Marissa Washington, President, is a Support Magistrate in Erie County Family Court. She previously owned and operated a boutique law firm where she practiced matrimonial and family law with a focus on representing children in Erie and Niagara Counties.

Ms. Washington received her Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law in December 2015, then sat for the February 2015 New York State Bar Exam. She was admitted to the New York State Bar in June of 2015 and practiced exclusively in the area of Matrimonial and Family Law until her appointment as a Support Magistrate in July of 2023.

In addition to her work with the WNY Chapter of WBASNY where she serves on the Board of Directors, she is an active member of the Erie County Bar Association, and the Minority Bar Association of Western New York. She is also a member of Buffalo Chapter of The GirlFriends, Inc.

Ms. Washington is a native of Williamsville and presently lives in Kenmore with her husband and their children.
